Beet strawberry smoothie anyone? This purifying and energizing smoothie is made with almond milk, strawberries, beet, goji berries, maca and cinnamon. Maca is optional but if you have it at home, make sure you add a little bit – it really adds a nice touch.
Beets support body’s detoxification, help to lower blood pressure and reduce inflammation, purify the blood and the liver, and have anti-cancer properties. Beets are grounding. They are naturally sweet, warm and nutritious. You don’t have to peel them; just make sure they are clean.
Strawberries and goji berries are packed with fiber and antioxidants. Goji berries, just as maca, are two incredible superfoods. Goji berries are not only nutritious, but they also support cardiovascular and skin health, and enhance immunity. Maca boosts energy and libido, and helps to balance mood and hormones.
I love superfoods and I always include them in my morning smoothies. It’s not everyone that enjoy the taste of maca but I’m one of these that loves it! If you have never try maca, I really encourage you trying this superfood!
This beet strawberry smoothie is vegan, soy-free and added sugar free. It’s also free of banana.
