Unpasteurized apple cider vinegar has been used for centuries for its health properties. Around 400 BC, Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine, prescribed apple cider vinegar for a variety of ills. It was used in Biblical times as a cleanser. It is a truly healing elixir. It can be used for health, beauty or around the house. It’s very versatile.
Apple cider vinegar is made by fermenting the sugars from fresh, crushed apples. It’s important to get organic, raw, unpasteurized apple cider vinegar that contains the mother. The ‘mother’ is made up of strand-like enzymes of connected protein molecules with living nutrients and bacteria. This is what makes the vinegar looks cloudy. Apple cider vinegar also contains some amino acids, potassium and antioxidants.
I personally use Bragg’s Organic raw apple cider vinegar on a daily basis and recommend this brand.
