Avocado Strawberry Smoothie

If you want to try a different smoothie this spring and summer for yourself or your little ones, give a try to this avocado strawberry smoothie. It’s creamy and nutritious, and it’s got that gorgeous green colour.

If you are making it for your children, you may want to call it a fun name like Hulk, Popeye or maybe Princess Tiana for a girl.. The kids may be more interested in drinking it. You can say it gives superpowers too, kids have great imagination!

In the smoothie, you will find almond milk, banana, strawberries, avocado, spinach and raw honey. You can always switch to another dairy-free milk like coconut if you prefer. I use spinach in the smoothie because you can’t taste it but if you make it for yourself or older kids, you may want to switch to kale instead.

A word on kale.. Always use organic kale. According to EWG’s 2019 guide, kale is the third vegetable with the most pesticides so yeah, if you use a lot of it, get organic or grow some in your garden (even better!).

I put raw honey in the smoothie to benefits from its incredible health benefits but if you are vegan, use maple syrup instead or simply skip the sweetener. For kids, it may just be a little more enjoyable.

  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 banana
  • ½ cup frozen strawberries
  • ½ cup frozen avocado
  • ¼ cup frozen spinach (or 1 handful fresh)
  • 1 tablespoon raw honey


  • Put all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
