This avocado kale soup is raw and vegan and packed with superfoods, nutrients and flavours. It’s definitely a different kind of soup as it’s not cooked and made straight from the blender, but if you are into raw foods, or raw soups or cleansing, you may really enjoy this recipe. It has a beautiful bright green color and it’s delicious and filling on its own although it could be enjoyed with another meal.
Soups are a bit like smoothies and are best on an empty stomach. If you eat a main course after, ideally you would want to wait little bit just to digest it so it’s better for digestion.
I made this soup as part of my 9-day cleanse this Spring. I made it relatively quickly and adjusted the taste a few times by tasting in from the blender and it just ended up being super tasty so I wanted to share it with you as many of you asked me the recipe from social media.
What’s in it?
Orange, avocado, kale, cilantro, white miso, lemon juice, garlic, cayenne, salt and dulse flakes as optional – only real, wholesome foods. When you blend all these ingredients together, the flavours you get are just delicious and it’s such a refreshing, delicious meal, especially on a hot summer day. Plus, it’s very creamy and satisfying.
When I was on soups and smoothies day, it was just lovely to have. It’s nutritious, refreshing and I felt I was feeding my body with only pure, healthy ingredients. It was a great feeling. The juice cleanse was amazing, 3 days was enough for me to be on juices only, and when you get back on eating real foods, even like smoothies and soups, wow that it tastes amazing, haha!
If you havent done a cleanse yet, and if you are in overall good health and not pregnant or breastfeeding, I encourage you informing yourself and consider doing a small one to start. You may also just do one day on juice only, with a few days of preparation. Or even easier, you can do a week on just raw vegan food. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Raw Avocado Kale Soup
- 1 cup water
- 1 large orange
- 1 large avocado
- 1 cup kale leaves
- ¼ cup cilantro
- 1 tablespoon white miso
- 1 lemon, juice
- 1 small clove garlic
- Pinch cayenne pepper
- Pinch pink salt
- ½ to 1 teaspoon dulse flakes (optional)
- Put all ingredients in your blender and blend until nice and smooth.
- Pour into a bowl and enjoy.
